FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SMOKE DETECTOR TESTER
Mailbu, CA -
DECEMBER 1, 1999 Smoke Detector Tester™ puts all types
of smoke detectors through their paces to make sure their circuitry and alarm
systems are functioning and that they are actively sampling the air for any
hint of a fire. The product's Patented, non-toxic formulation of aerosol
particles
simulates the entire range of fire conditions, assuring the user that the smoke
detector will respond to any type of fire -- one in its early stages or when the
fire is fully underway.
UL has approved Smoke Detector Tester™ following rigorous testing, including intentional overexposure of the, product to a number of different brands and types of smoke detectors, including both commercial and residential models. UL uses the Product itself to test smoke detectors submitted for approval.
Nearly all smoke detector manufacturers have OK'd Smoke Detector Tester to test their detectors. In fact, a number of smoke detector manufacturers actually employ the product in the production of their smoke detectors. All commercial aircraft manufacturers specify Smoke Detector Tester for testing smoke detectors aboard their planes, including Boeing's Air Force One.
Most Fortune 500 companies have been customers for years.
A smoke detector's sensitivity can be adversely affected by contaminants such as dust, grease, corrosive fumes, insects and moisture, including aging, That's why the National Fire Prevention Association and all detector manufacturers recommend periodic testing. Many government inspectors and fire marshals identify Smoke Detector Tester as the aerosol product of choice in fire alarm acceptance testing.
Smoke Detector
Tester does not affect the sensitivity of smoke detectors. Notwithstanding the
tens of millions of testing that has been done on smoke detectors over the
years, there has never been any showing that the product adversely affects the
sensitivity of smoke detectors of any brand or kind. Since the product has never
used a freon propellant, it does not harm the ozone layer of our planet.
